What does it mean to be Greek in the U.K. today?
For some, it’s a story of migration and new beginnings; for others, it’s the challenge of growing up between cultures, languages, and expectations. And for many, it’s a joyful mix of memories, flavours, traditions and friendships that shape who we are.
“On Being Greek in the U.K.: Bridging Two Worlds” brings together voices from across generations and backgrounds to explore how Greek identity is lived, negotiated, celebrated — and sometimes questioned — in modern Britain.
Our speakers will include Athanasia Chalari, Nick Bouras, former AHL Vice-Chair Roula Konzotis and current Council member Ikaros Matsoukas .
Join us for an open, lively conversation about belonging, home, heritage, and the everyday experiences that connect us. Expect personal stories, reflections, humour, and plenty of recognition — whether you’re Greek, part-Greek, philhellene, or simply curious about the journeys that shape multicultural Britain.
