Kevin Featherstone is Professorial Research Fellow and, until summer 2024 was Director of the Hellenic Observatory, at the London School of Economics.  In 2021, he was bestowed the award of 'Grand Commander, Order of the Phoenix' of the Hellenic Republic, and the following year was granted honorary citizenship of Greece. In 2025, he was awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list for services to academia and to UK/Greek relations. He has been chair of the Council since 1 January 2025.
