Spyros Economides is Associate Professor in International Relations and European Politics at the LSE and on the Advisory Board and Management Committee of the Hellenic Observatory. He has a B.Soc.Sci from the University of Birmingham and an MSc and PhD from the LSE, where he also received the Robert Mackenzie Prize for his doctoral dissertation on the ‘International Implications of the Greek Civil War’. He has published widely on Greek foreign policy; the external relations, security and defence policies of the EU; Europeanisation and foreign policy; EU enlargement and the EU’s relationship with the Western Balkans.
